Damrow Chiropractic Office is proud of our heritage, these two doctors paved the way for us to do what we do today:

E.H. Damrow DC (1893-1959) was the founder of Damrow Chiropractic Office in 1914 after graduating from the Palmer School of Chiropractic. He started out downtown on the corner of what is now Main and Milwaukee Street, opening his office just 19 years after the founding of the chiropractic profession. He was very busy in that location, so much so that he bought the Kellogg farm and nursery south of Janesville and moved his office there in 1940. Through two world wars and the Great Depression he continued to provide chiropractic care to residents of Janesville and Beloit and became well known for his excellent care. In 1917 he was commissioned into the army for World War I and worked in the medical infantry, using his expertise in the relatively new field of X-ray to help soldiers medically in the war effort.

John E. “Dr. Jack” Damrow DC (1925-2007) joined his father E.H. Damrow in 1950 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin and the Palmer School of Chiropractic and practiced for 45 years on Janesville’s south side, retiring on his 70th birthday in 1995.

Dr. Jack was a well known member of the Janesville community. Aside from his years of work and excellent reputation as a chiropractor he was very involved in Kiwanis, the Southside Business Association, and the Chamber of Commerce as well as St. Mary’s Parish. He and his wife Claire raised 9 children, the youngest of which is Dr. James Damrow.
